Eloping in the spring time in the Teton Valley area doesn’t always mean you’re going to get the perfect, sunny weather for your elopement day! Luckily, a little (or a lot) of rain during your elopement can be SO epic!! For these two, the stormy weather added the perfect mood for their elopement ceremony!

The Ceremony

We started their elopement ceremony 15 minutes early to try and beat out the huge rainstorm we could see rolling in. The two exchanged vows and said “I do”. We could see the Tetons behind them still even though the clouds were rolling in to cover them up. Right after the official kiss, a huge thunder clap sounded and the rain came at full force! Everybody ran to the cars while the couple and I grabbed a few quick shots in the rain.

Their Elopement Portraits

After everybody ate lunch, we decided to run back up to their elopement location to get some more portraits of the two of them together. They had their “first dance” in the middle of the road with their song playing from inside the truck. The rain stopped just long enough for us to get some epic pics of the two of them on the Driggs, ID lookout overlooking the valley.

Airbnbs + Milkshakes

We couldn’t resist the Emporium huckleberry milkshakes and the couple decided to have a private moment to themselves drinking milkshakes outside and hanging out together. The three of us reminisced on their perfect day and then headed back to the Airbnb to get a few more shots of them eating cake, take shots and hanging out. It was the most laid back, rainy elopement day ever!!

It was the perfect rainy elopement day. I’m so happy we didn’t let the weather ruin this day and continued to have the most epic, perfect, rainy elopement day in Driggs Idaho ever!
